Cosmetically, the unit is in good condition; there are some superficial scratches and/or scuffs, but no bends or dings. 7/10. Functions perfect. 10/10 The units are upgraded with Samsung, Micron, Hynix, or Nanya brand memory, the same memory manufacturers Apple uses in their factory. Upgrades: Upgrading to a solid state drive (SSD) is highly recommended. The SSD makes a noticeable speed difference in boot up, opening applications, and saving/editing files for a small additional cost. The reason it's not standard in this unit is because some require larger 1TB drives whereas some may be okay with smaller 256gb drives. Also, some may opt to go for the high end PCI express SSD drives to take advantage of the fastest drive speeds. For audio editing, the GT120 graphics card is sufficient. It does support dual displays at a maximum resolution of 2560x1600. For video editing, we recommend upgrading to a more powerful 1GB+ graphics card. The GTX 285 1GB has great performance. For high-end editing choose the GTX 680 or ATI Radeon 7950 depending on whether your software uses CUDA cores or OpenCL.
